Company FAQ:

Why does the HR software include third party loans?

SunFish Go is developed to support employees.  Increasing HR system usage amongst employees is beneficial to everyone.  Employees get better access to information and are able to work more efficiently, this enables collection of more data that can be used by HR professionals to further improve efficiency and employee engagement.  While designing an HR system to support employees we look at how employees work lives and non work lives intersect. The primary source of income for most employees is their salary and their income is the primary source of their interaction with financial products.  Integration of financial products and income offers a variety of advantages to employees. Ultimately giving them more control over their financial future, reducing financial related stress and allowing greater productivity.

How does an employee get a loan?

An employee can apply for a loan through SunFish Go. They are shown loans which they are likely to qualify for based on criteria provided by the lenders. When the employee applies for the loan they answer several questions and a loan application is filled in for them.  They can review all the data that is submitted to the lender before it is submitted. Employees only submit data that they normally have access to, company data that the employee would not normally submit on any other offline loan application is not made available to them.  Once the employee submits the loan application, the lender will review the application, perform credit checks and may determine the interest rate depending on their loan product. The lender will then send a loan agreement to the employee for their review. If the employee accepts and signs the agreement (signature may be digital) and returns it to the loan provider, the provider will disburse the loan to the employee.

Is the company responsible for the employees loan?

No, the loan is between the employee and the lender.  The company does not need to account for the loan. The company does not guarantee the loan repayment.  

After the company processes the salary and generates the bank transfer file, the bank transfer file is then modified to reduce the amount of the loan payment from the salary transfer and move the loan payment to an additional transfer to the loan provider.  The loan is between the employee and the loan provider, so the loan deduction does not appear on company payroll reports, tax reports or the payslip. A separate report is provided in SunFish to enable the company to monitor the payments if required or in the event that there is a need to reconcile the transfer amounts. Employees are able to view a breakdown of their transfer in SunFish Go to confirm the amount paid to their normal bank accounts and to the loan provider.

What does the company need to do to support the loan?

There is no action required by the company to support the processing of the loan normally.  If salary payments are done manually, and not through a bank interface, we will explain the process for modifying the manually created payment amounts and adding the additional payment for the loan provider.  The loan is between the employee and the loan provider, so the loan deduction does not appear on company payroll reports, tax reports or the payslip. A separate report is provided in SunFish to enable the company to monitor the payments if required or in the event that there is a need to reconcile the transfer amounts. Employees are able to view a breakdown of their transfer in SunFish Go to confirm the amount paid to their normal bank accounts and to the loan provider.

What happens if employees ask questions about their loan?

Employees may enquire about the loan deductions, loan approvals or other issues with the loans.  We encourage the company to refer questions about the loans to the loan provider. All loan providers are certified by OJK and are required to maintain staff that are qualified to offer clear responses to these inquiries.

Do you share data with lenders?

We only share the data that the employee submits through their loan application.  If an employee does not submit a loan application, no data is shared with lenders.  When the employee fills in the loan application, the complete set of data being sent to the loan provider is previewed by the employee prior to submission.  Lenders create loan products which SunFish uses to to display loans which are potentially applicable to the employee.

How do you make sure the employee doesn't get it a lot of debt?

SunFish limits the amount of loans that an employee can apply for such that they can not apply for loans that would create deductions in excess of of 30% of their last periods take home pay.

How do you decide the interest rate?

The lender determines the interest rate.  The lender is required to provide an interest rate range for each loan product to allow the employee to select the loan to apply for.  The lender will determine the final interest rate within that range after their evaluation and credit check. Lenders are encouraged to compete to offer the best interest rate to the employees.

Why is SunFish Go a better place for employees to get loans?

When a lender receives a loan application, they can be confident that key data on the loan application is accurate as key data the employee enters on their loan application is autofilled from the company data.  Applications are submitted electronically to the lender allowing the lender to automate the process and achieve a lower loans origination cost. When payroll is transferred to the bank, the payment is automatically sent to the lender allowing them to receive payment faster in many cases and the greatly reduce the risk of late payment.  These features allow lenders to reduce risk and cost, and ultimately to pass those savings onto borrowers. Lenders are encouraged to offer better terms in their loan products in order to compete to be the selected loan provider.

How is the loan paid back?

After the payroll is processed by the company, SunFish generates a bank transfer file for the company to make payment.  The amount transferred to each employee with a loan is reduced by the loan payment amount and one additional transfer is added for each lender to receive payments.  The loan payments do not appear on payslips or other company reports, however, the company and employee are able to view the transfer data through other reports in order to reconcile transfer and loan payment amounts.

Does DataOn make money on the interest?

DataOn does not receive a share of the interest of the employee.  Each loan contains a processing fee charged by the lender from which DataOn receives a proportion.

What if my employee had resigned but is still using the service?

For the loan service, you would be contacted directly by the service provider to resolve any problem that may occur from stopping using the service mid-term. You may have to follow instructions given by them and be cooperative.

Borrower FAQ:

How much does it cost to receive the service?

SunFish Go receives a portion from the  interest paid by the borrower. You would also need SunFish Go installed on your smartphone, a valid account that you can log in to, and an internet connection.

What are the requirements to receiving the service?

For the loan service, you need to be able to log in to your SunFish Go account provided by your employer; a valid copy of the last 3 months of your pay slip provided by your employer; your original valid ID in hand; a valid personal email address; to have a monthly salary of IDR 1,000,000 and above.

What are the procedures to receiving the service?

For the loan service, you would have to get your smartphone ready in hand, log in to your valid SunFish Go account provided by your employer, then select the loan menu on the dashboard, follow the steps, and that is all. Once you have submitted your loan request, it would then be processed by the concerning service provider. All you have to do is wait until further notice from the service provider and you may also be contacted by them regarding your loan request.

Who is entitled to receive the service?

Anybody with the following requirements is entitled to using the service. For the loan service, you need to be able to log in to your SunFish Go account provided by your employer; a valid copy of the last 3 months of your pay slip provided by your employer; your original valid ID in hand; a valid personal email address; to have a monthly salary of IDR 1,000,000 and above.

What if I were to be rejected from using the service?

Nothing detrimental to you or any other party would happen.

Lender FAQ:

Why should I offer loans on SunFish Go?

The system helps reduce loan application processing costs, and late payment risk.  

 

You can specify your loan product and offer multiple loan products.  For example if your loan product only applies to employees in a certain salary range and with a minimum of 5 years working experience in the same company, then only employees meeting those criteria will be displayed the loan.  This reduces the number of applicants that will be rejected.

 

You can receive the loan application in digital format and interface this with your loans origination system to reduce data entry costs.

 

Payments for loans will be transferred directly when salaries are paid.  This reduces the risk of late/non payment, collection costs, and will often allow lenders to receive payments days earlier than traditional methods.

Does the employer guarantee the payment?

No, the loan is between the lender and the employee.  The employer agrees to send the employees salary payments as the employee specifies and the employee agrees to specify the payment should be sent to the lenders account on the paydate.  The lender does not establish a contractual relationship with the employer.

What happens if an employee resigns or is terminated?

If the employee resigns, the employer will no longer pay the employees salary, and the lender is required to undertake traditional collections.

Can I get a list of the employees and their data?

No, you will only receive data from employees that make an application for a loan.  You may require additional information on this loan application in excess of the information we already provide to lenders, however, any information that you require must be previewed and approved by the employee prior to submission.

Can I get information on what loans are being issued?

We will provide information periodically to help lenders tailor loan products to preferences of employees.  This information will not contain personally identifiable data of companies or employees, nor will it contain information on the loan volume of other lenders.

How does a lender enter a loan agreement with an employee?

After reviewing the loan application, the lender may undertake additional verification processes including contacting the employee applicant as required by the lender’s origination process.  If approved, the loan agreement can be provided to the employee in the format required by the lender, including digitally and for digital signature through SunFish if required.

Tentunya karyawan yang ingin Anda chat harus sudah didaftarkan di SunFish Go terlebih dahulu oleh HRD perusahaan Anda. Untuk mulai chat, tekan tombol berlambangkan kaca pembesar di pojok kanan atas layar. Lalu ketik nama karyawan yang ingin di-chat, dan tekan namanya. Pada halaman profilnya, tekan tombol “Obrolan”.

Apakah saya bisa membuat grup chat?

Bagaimana cara mencari akun karyawan dengan Pencarian Lanjut?

Tentunya karyawan yang ingin Anda chat harus sudah didaftarkan di SunFish Go terlebih dahulu oleh HRD perusahaan Anda. Untuk mulai chat, tekan tombol berlambangkan kaca pembesar di pojok kanan atas layar. Lalu ketik nama karyawan yang ingin dicari, lalu tekan tombol [+] di pojok kanan layar. Anda bisa saring menurut jabatan karyawan dan periode kerjanya.

Apa yang saya harus lakukan apabila saya dapat notifikasi bahwa saya tidak diberikan otorisasi untuk menggunakan fitur chat?

Pada halaman “Beranda”, tekan tombol [+] di pojok kanan bawah layar. Lalu, tekan tombol “Permintaan”. Semua jenis permintaan ditampilkan pada halaman tersebut.

Bagaimana cara menggunakan fitur sosial media “Pos”?

Pada halaman “Beranda”, tekan tombol [+] di pojok kanan bawah layar. Lalu, tekan tombol “Pos”. Pada halaman tersebut ketik di kotak teks pesan yang ingin Anda sebarkan ke Follower Anda di SunFish Go. Anda juga bisa upload gambar dari kamera atau gallery smartphone dengan menekan tombol berlambangkan kamera di bawah kotak teks. Setelah pesan dan gambar sudah siap, tekan “Kirim”.

Di mana postingan saya akan ditampilkan?

Postingan Anda akan ditampilkan di halaman profil Anda, dan bagi yang sudah ikuti akun Anda postingannya juga ditampilkan di tab “Pemberitahuan” pada halaman “Beranda”.

Apa gunanya 4 tombol (“Kehadiran”, “Cuti”, “Klaim”, dan “Daftar Gaji”) di bagian atas halaman “Berada”?

4 tombol tersebut adalah tombol shortcut yang berguna untuk memudahkan Anda masuk dengan cepat ke halaman fitur-fitur tersebut. Fitur-fitur tersebut kami anggap sering digunakan sehari-hari oleh karyawan.

Apa gunanya tab “Pemberitahuan”, “Penting”, dan “Arsip” di halaman “Beranda”?

Tab “Pemberitahuan” berfungsi sebagai tempat munculnya informasi penting terkait Anda seperti permintaan dari karyawan yang perlu diberi persetujuan “Koreksi Kehadiran”, “Lembur”, Cuti”, “Perjalanan Dinas” atau “Klaim”. Untuk memberikan persetujuan langsung, cukup tekan judul permintaannya dan Anda akan dialihkan ke halaman terkait. Tab ini penting karena menyangkut hak karyawan.

Tab “Penting” berfungsi untuk menyimpan pemberitahuan yang ingin Anda urus nanti (tidak akan hilang apabila ditekan). Untuk memindahkannya, cukup tekan tombol bertandakan bintang yang terletak di samping judul pemberitahuan.

Tab “Arsip” berfungsi untuk menyimpan pemberitahuan yang tidak ingin anda urus lagi (tidak akan hilang apabila ditekan). Untuk memindahkannya, cukup tekan tombol bertandakan tong sampah yang terletak di samping judul pemberitahuan.

Judul pemberitahuan yang sudah dipindahkan ke tab “Penting” atau “Arsip” tidak bisa dipindahkan lagi ke tab “Pemberitahuan”.

Berapa lama judul pemberitahuan yang muncul di tab “Pemberitahuan” akan tetap ditampilkan di situ?

SunFish Go akan menghapus judul pemberitahuan setiap 1 bulan waktu server.

Mengapa kartu “Undang Tim” tidak muncul pada halaman “Beranda” di akun saya?

Hanya peran HR Admin dan Supervisor saja yang bisa mengundang karyawan lain ke dalam sistem SunFish Go. Karyawan biasa tidak bisa, maka dari itu opsi mengundang tim tidak ada.
